Richard Schmoyer designed a sundial made from old wagon wheels and made a prototype. In the 1990s he gave the wheels and his prototype to neighbor sundialist Ken Clark who is planning to complete the design.
In 1989 Richard Schmoyer designed a monumental-scale sundial based on a musical theme that utilizes a tuning fork gnomon.
